The best Serbian female athlete Ivana Španović finished this season with a fantastic street competition in the center of Belgrade. She“flew“ over Terazije, the city center square, when she broke her own national long jump record leaping 7.10 meters in the first series.

A real athletic spectacle in front of Belgraders was an introduction to the European Athletics Indoor Championships to be held next year from 3rd to 5th March in the Kombank Arena. The whole day children competed in high jump, long jump, 20m running and hurdling. Our best shot putter Asmir Kolašinac joined the promoting activities together with other athletes such as Tamara Salaški, Vladimir Savanović, and Strahinja Jovančević.

The highlight of the day was a female long jump competition where the European champion, Rio Olympics bronze medalist and Queen of the Diamond League won and set a new national record. Terazije Square was not big enough for all athletics lovers who came to support Ivana.

All six jumps were followed by ovations from spectators, mostly young and children. The competition could not come closer to Ivana: Yazmin Sawyers was second with 6.56 m and Erica Jarder won the bronze with 6.21 m.
